Smileytooth Returns After a two-year hiatus, Smileytooth is back! Retired Army Maj. AGD President on AOL Health AGD President, Paula Jones, DDS, FAGD, was recently featured on AOL Health in the article, “Lies Women Tell Their Doctors.” In the article, originally featured in Redbook Magazine, Dr. Jones shares some of the interesting things she’s heard from patients about their flossing habits. AGD Member Receives Humanitarian Award
Andrew C. Cobb, DDS, received the 2008 Small Business Humanitarian of the Year Award. Dr. Cobb received the award, along with two other colleagues, for his work in the Dominican Republic through the Somos Amigos Medical Missions. The award is presented by the Small Business Council of America.
AGD Past President Honored in Texas Sam W. Rogers, Jr., DDS, FAGD, AGD past president and speaker of the house, was presented with the 2008 Gold Medal for Distinguished Service by the Texas Dental Society (TDA) at this year’s American Dental Association (ADA) House of Delegates. Dr. Rogers served as a leader not only in the AGD, but also in the TDA and the ADA. The 2008 Gold Medal for Distinguished Service award is the highest honor one can achieve at the TDA.
